Mysterious Sensation

Pendulum Sharpie is a pendulum device disguised as a Mini Sharpie. While a participant holds it like a pendulum, the performer can trigger a brief, silent haptic pulse by remote control. The sensation feels closer to a heartbeat than a conventional vibration, helping the participant experience their “intuition” in a direct and memorable way.
Realistic Appearance
A legitimate Mini Sharpie for writing.
The pen looks and writes like a regular Mini Sharpie. Its body has no visible openings, yet conceals the microelectronic mechanism that produces the pulse. A compact, silent remote control supports flexible performance handling.
Integrated Design
Portable and ready to perform.
The product went through six major design revisions and many smaller refinements. Its compact system brings together 16 purpose-designed structural components and approximately 20 individual parts.
Purpose-Built Electronics
To improve the remote control’s feel and function, UltraMANTIC designed a custom control board approximately half the size of a conventional alternative. The core parts were developed around the final performance requirements rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf enclosure.
Charging Case and Storage
- The pen powers off and begins charging when returned to the case.
- Press the pen twice to deactivate case charging when needed.

- A fully charged case supports up to 800 activations under typical use.
